Who Is Dallas Rules Group ?
Dallas Rules Group is the continuation of work started in 2005 by James Owen, who dedicated many Saturday afternoons attempting to teach many of us the basics of
- how to use rules,
- how to use a rules engines
- too many other topics to enumerate here.
In January 2008, a number of interested parties joined together to formally re-start Jame's efforts. There were many, but the named founders are
- Pete Carapetyan
- James Owen
- Greg Barton
- Rolando Hernandez
As of this writing - August 2008 - we have had about 5 meetings, some great presentations, and many of the 20 or so average attendees have been seen every meeting, so we are in the beginning stages of building a strong group.
Only about 6 people in the Dallas Rules Group work with rules on a full time basis. They include 3 of the founders ( not Pete Carapetyan ) and 3 others who present and come regularly.
May Anyone Join DRG ?
Dallas Rules Group is a very loose organization of people in the Dallas area or region who are interested in promoting, learning about, or otherwise dealing with rules. So if that describes you, then please feel free to join us at any meeting.
